This is us!

Our President & PR: Madeline Muck

Hey guys, my name is maddi, I‘m 25 years old and I‘m from Germany. I came to Maastricht to start my bachelor in psychology and I have discovered my passion for pole half a year ago. Just after one introduction class I knew that this is my kind of sport because it combines strength with grace, and it gave me a different kind of self esteem. I met Flo during the first introduction classes and we decided to found the association together to keep this great community growing, and we‘re so proud how this project turned out! Thank you all for your interest and your support, we appreciate it!! 🩷

Our Vice-president & Treasurer: Florentine Hegemann

Heyo, I'm Flo and I started setting up this association together with Maddi at the beginning of the year. I also only started Pole Fitness and Dancing this year after having done a few (one-time) workshops throughout the previous years and I am so happy I did. Before starting Pole I was already a member of Let's Dance where I did Salsa for a while and before that I did Latin & Ballroom Dances. I also love anything crafty and making music as well. I started working last year as a data scientist at HSR (for the university) which keeps me busy from 9-5 on weekdays. After that I am happy to explore new combos and figures with you and welcome you to our little community.

Our Secretary: Mia Ruiz

Hii, I’m Mia! I’m 20 years old, half German and half American, and currently in my second year of studying Psychology. I’m really excited to be part of the very first board of our pole dance association and to help shape this new community together. What drew me to pole dancing is how unique it is as a sport. It combines strength, fitness, dance, and creativity all in one. I find that mix really inspiring and I’m looking forward to exploring everything it has to offer. Even though I’m new to pole, I can’t wait to learn, challenge myself, and grow alongside others who share the same enthusiasm. As secretary, I bring organization, reliability and a friendly attitude. I’m excited to work with such a motivated and welcoming team and to contribute to building a space where everyone feels supported and encouraged on their pole journey.

Our Head of External Relations: Marie

Hello there, I’m Marie and I’ve been pole dancing for over 2 and a half years. I took a free trial class back home in Denmark and the rest is history! I wanted to join Pertica to be a part of the growing pole community here in Maastricht, to challenge stereotypes people have about pole dance, and to see my peers spin & sparkle. My interests are in low flow, exotic pole, and dancing in heels. I’ve previously volunteered at Steel on Fire Denmark 2023 and have had the chance to connect with some amazing artists along the way. When I’m not dancing, I’m a psychology student and an avid bookworm who’s always down for a chat.
